The Valentine’s Day – day of love. You never know, which day it is going to be a next year. It usually is a working day, so it is handy to have some fast and easy recipes. In previous years, I have presented you my meat mainsSexy Rib Eye with Warm Potatoes, Duck Specials 2 kinds or Almond Trout with Cranberries. This year, I am focusing more on ladylike vegetarian but an equally rich dinner – Gorgonzola and Red Grape Spaghetti.

I just recommend you this luxurious taste of creamy pasta, accompanied by sweetness of the grapes and a pinch of heat of cayenne pepper. All is done within 15 minutes. Get some good bottle of red wine, Italian Gorgonzola Cheese and let the party begin. Enjoy!

Total Time: 15 minutes

Shopping List

2 portion of whole-wheat spaghetti
Sea salt
A knob of butter
Few leaves of fresh sage, washed and drained
1 medium shallot, peeled and finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, crushed, peeled and finely chopped
200ml of milk
150g of good quality Gorgonzola Cheese, torn in pieces
2 bunches of red grapes, washed and drained
A pinch of cayenne pepper, ground black pepper
2 handfuls of walnuts, hardly chopped
Instructions
First, cook spaghetti in a large pot filled with hot boiling salted water until al dente.

Meanwhile, melt butter in a large frying pan on medium heat. Add a shallot and let it smell out for few seconds.

Next, stir in the shallot and sauté for about 3 minutes until softens. Afterwards, add garlic just to smell it out.

Pour in the milk and let it simmer on medium heat uncovered for about 3 more minutes.

Then, stir in the cheese. Let it melt and add grapes. Once you get a smooth texture taste and season accordingly with salt and pepper. Add pinch of cayenne and taste.

Drain pasta out of the water and throw it into your sauce, together with 1 large spoon of salted pasta water.

Sprinkle with walnuts and give a good stir. Serve immediately with a glass of red wine.
