Burger, Hamburger, Cheeseburger, thousands of variations. Let’s start a new chapter dedicated to this world delicacy. Ideal for any easy meal, party or weekend breakfast. Burger Sandwich and Fresh Burger Dinner – 2 easy burger meals ready in 20 minutes. Satisfying, simple and incredibly delicious. Let’s start!

Easy Burger Sandwich

Total Time: 20 minutes

Shopping List

The Burger:
250g of quality minced beef
A pinch of satureja, paprika powder, Soy Sauce, chili flakes
1 bread rusk, mashed (no need in case of lean beef)
Sea salt and ground black pepper
2 eggs, baked
2 large pickles, sliced
2 slices of matured cheese e.g. Cheddar, Old Amsterdam, Gouda, etc.
4 slices of fresh bread
2 splashes of mayonnaise, any kind of desirable sauce

Instructions

Place all the burger ingredients (satureja, paprika, Soy Sauce, chili, salt and pepper) with a rusk into a medium mixing bowl.
Mince in. Mix it with hands until you get a nice homogeneous texture. Create 2 equal burgers of ½ cm and flatten them with your palm.

Next, heat up a knob of butter in a frying pan on high heat. Place the burgers in. Bake on one side for about 2 minutes until you see a color change in the middle.
Then, flip them over and bake until nicely golden (depending on their size, takes approximately 5 minutes in total).
Take off the heat. Put a slice of cheese on top of each, so it melts beautifully. Let them rest.

Heat up a knob of butter in the same frying pan on high heat.
Break the eggs in, season with paprika, salt and pepper and bake them for about 2-3 minutes. Then, flip them over and bake for a bit from the other side. Take off the heat.
Start layering.
Place a good layer of mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, whatever sauce you are in mood for, on each slice of bread.

Next, burgers with melted cheese. Then eggs and pickles. Cover with slices of bread (with an extra layer of your desirable topping).

Halve the sandwiches and serve the first of your burger meals.

Fresh Burger Dinner

Total Time: 20 minutes

Shopping List

The Burger:
250g of quality minced beef

1 bread rusk, mashed

The Salad:
5 handfuls of favourite green salad e.g. Rocket, Lamb’s Lettuce, washed, drained and torn in pieces
2 handfuls of quality smoked English Bacon, diced
8 medium cherry tomatoes, halved
100g of soft goat cheese

The Dressing as per My 4 Kinds of Cheese Salad Recipe:
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of honey
1 tablespoon of Balsamic vinegar
Juice from ½ of lemon
Sea salt

The Salad

Prepare all the ingredients (salad, bacon, tomatoes and cheese) and place them in a large serving bowl. Set aside.
In a small mixing bowl place all ingredients for The Dressing: oil, honey, vinegar, lemon and season well with salt. Mix with a balloon whisk and taste. Season accordingly. Pour over the Salad and stir. Set aside.

Presentation

Heat up a knob of butter in a frying pan on high heat. Place the burgers in. Bake them nicely from each side, 5 minutes in total. Take off the heat and let it rest for a bit.

Serve with baked potatoes or bruschetta sprinkled with olive oil and some lovely tapenade on side. So yummy and easy!
