Juicy wraps

Rate this post

I have never been a huge fan of wraps. I always rather chose for a decent burger or sandwich. However, my boyfriend proved me otherwise. The combination of tomato sauce, salad, cheese and sour cream just speaks for itself. Juicy wraps are very easy week dinner. Let me tell you, wraps always win, even for the little ones.

Total Time: 1 hour + marinating (if possible)

Shopping List

300g of turkey breasts, chopped into stripes
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons of Heinz Ketchup
1 tablespoon of Soy Sauce
2 carrots, peeled and sliced
3 leaves of Iceberg Salad
3 tablespoons of sour cream or crème fraîche
3 handfuls of Cheddar Cheese, grated
Provencal herbs, cayenne pepper, ground black pepper and sea salt
A knob of butter, olive oil
3 flour tortillas

Instructions

Marinate the meat few hours up front. Place 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a mixing bowl. Add all spices, 1 tablespoon of ketchup, soy sauce and rub them all over the meat. Set aside.

Heat up the butter in a frying pan and put the meat in. Sear equally all over the meat.

Lower the heat and pour in tomatoes. Add 1 tablespoon of ketchup and carrots. Season with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Taste and taste.

Continue cooking for at least 15 minutes until the meat is tender and the carrots soften. If you have the time, you can leave it bubbling for about 1 hour. Then the taste really comes through.

Before the mix is ready, warm up the tortillas in the oven for about 5 minutes on 150 degrees.

Place a spoon of crème fraîche from inside of each tortilla. Put the leave of salad on. Place 1 large spoon of tomato mix on the top and sprinkle with cheese.
