If you serve for meat lovers, you can add some good quality Prosciutto ham. No limits to imagination, serve with dry white wine. Cheers!
These Gorgonzola Bruschetti with Figs are suitable for kids from the age of 2. You can substitute the heavy Gorgonzola with creamy goat cheese, Mozarella or Feta cheese. Yummy!
Total Time: 10 minutes
A splash of olive oil
1 large ciabbata, sliced
100g of good quality blue cheese
6 fresh figs, washed, cleaned and halved
Few teaspoons of flower honey
Few branches of fresh thyme
First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Put a splash of olive oil onto a medium baking tray. Place slices of ciabatta on it.
Next, layer with blue cheese, fresh figs, honey and thyme over the top.
Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese melts and it starts to smell. So yummy! Serve warm.
