Silky Cheddar Dip

Rate this post
Do you know how to make a creamy and spicy cheesy dip? I didn’t. Unfortunately until now, I did not master it at home. I was just searching for the exact same taste as the well-known store-brand products. My favourite Austrian culinary magazine Frischgekocht has provided me with a really satisfying alternative – Silky Cheddar Dip. Snack with me and enjoy tonight!

My cheddar dip is suitable for kids from the age of 2, because of the amount of matured cheese. Easy on the spice and serve with my homemade nachos.

Instructions

First, place butter into a small deep pan on medium heat. Let it melt and add flour in. Stir until it becomes foamy for about 2 minutes.

Then, pour in the milk, few at a time. Mix until homogenous texture. Gradually start adding the cheese. Milk, cheese and mix.

Flavour up with paprika, cayenne pepper and chilli. Season with Vegeta and continue mixing until it thickens, for about 2 more minutes. Taste and season accordingly.

Take off the heat and set aside to cool down a bit. Afterwards, transfer the Cheddar Dip into serving bowl and dip into heaven.

Makes 1 medium bowl of Cheddar dip.
