Salmon Recipes

Salmon recipes are about a magnificent fish, a fish well known for its long travels from saltwater to freshwater. In order to lay its eggs, it needs to travel for thousands of miles, make its way upstream the river and face many more dangers. Everyone has seen the images of salmon jumping out of the water, straight into the mouth of a giant grizzly bear. But it’s not only bears that like this fish, also humans developed a keen interest in these little wonders of nature. Their soft and oily pink flesh, high in nutrients and healthy acids, make the salmon a very popular refrigerator guest.

Why follow salmon recipes?

Salmon, as most species of fish, contain a tremendous amount of Omega-3 fatty acids, protein and numerous vitamins. These acids and vitamins protect your heart, brain and your circulatory system. The proteins found in salmon are used by your body to strengthen bones, muscles and skin tissue. For these reasons alone, it’s recommended to eat salmon and other fish at least every other day. Next to being a boost to your health, salmon contains very few calories. That’s why you can eat a lot of it without having to worry about your summer figure.
